This is our all time favorite bbq!!! It's definitely worth the drive from Lytle!!

I dig this BBQ joint. I was so excited when they moved n and fired the pits back up...and even more excited when I tried their brisket! It’s my favorite of their meats, and the ribs are a close second...very lean and little fat on the bone. The potato salad here is one of my favorites in the state. It is very simple, and that’s just fine. Their sauce is tasty, but honestly u can enjoy the meats w o it...we love to dip the old school white bread n it. Their brisket is on my Texas top 25 list...love it!

Holy smoke this place was good. My parents told me it was good and they didn't lie. Brisket was pretty darn tasty and my dad had the ribs that looked like they just fell off the bone. I will go back!!!

My family and I will travel over an hour for Heavy’s BBQ. We’ve traveled the state of Texas and beyond for BBQ and Heavy’s In Hondo, Texas remains one of our top 3 favorite BBQ restaurants to eat at. The meat, sides, and sauce are truly delicious. We’ve never once been disappointed and highly recommend them to everyone. Yahoo! For delicious BBQ!

Delicious barbecue, sausage, beans and amazing potato salad. This was Feb 2020.Today we went back another delicious meal we tried smoked turkey. Best we have ever eaten. Not a chain, family owned and ran. We are moving to Mississippi so this is our fair well dinner. Delicious 1st choice regardless of the drive.

Heavy's bbq sauce is the best I've ever had! It has a tangy, deep flavor that is perfect to pour all over the perfectly cooked brisket. It is the closest I've ever had to my grandfathers sauce. He wouldn't ever give anyone his secret recipe so I'm so happy that I can visit Heavy's and feel close to home. We'll be visiting regularly!
